London, 6 February 2024 – We are delighted to announce that the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) has won ‘Best Network, Standards or Infrastructure Partner of the Year’ at the International Awards for Trade, Treasury and Payments 2026. These annual awards celebrate firms and individuals shaping the future of cross-border finance, from trade and working capital to treasury services and payment infrastructure.
Assessed for leadership in standards, ecosystem impact, reliability, connectivity, adoption, and measurable gains in efficiency, risk management, or cross-border flows, the category win recognises ANNA for supporting interoperability, data integrity and secure information exchange across financial markets.
ANNA is the global association of National Numbering Agencies that supports the consistent identification of financial instruments worldwide. ANNA serves as the Registration Authority for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) International Securities Identification Number (ISIN) and Financial Instrument Short Name (FISN) standards. ANNA upholds ISO principles and serves markets through its work to evolve an identifier system that underpins transparency and efficiency.
Stephan Dreyer, Managing Director of ANNA, said: “This award is a tribute to the incredible collaboration across ANNA’s global community. Together, we’ve shown how harmonised standards can strengthen liquidity, enable cross-border trading, and support change across the financial industry. Looking ahead, ANNA remains committed to expanding use cases, growing membership, and building an interoperable standards ecosystem for the markets of the future”.
The ANNA Service Bureau (ASB) is ANNA’s central data hub that collects and enriches financial and referential identification data, making it available to ANNA members and other market participants. The ASB offers the most complete compilation of ISINs and reference data worldwide, covering 200 jurisdictions and access to over 137 million ISIN records.

About ANNA
The Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) is a global member association seeking to foster standardisation within the financial industry by upholding the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) principles and by promoting ISIN, FISN and CFI codes for financial instruments. This is achieved through ongoing, collaborative work with market participants, regulators and other standards bodies.
Under ANNA’s stewardship, the role of the ISIN in enabling global financial communications has been established worldwide. Founded in 1992 by 22 numbering agencies, today ANNA’s membership continues to grow, with more than 120 global members and partners allocating ISIN, FISN and CFI codes on behalf of their local jurisdictions. By putting in place rigorous governance around the development, allocation and sharing of ISIN, FISN and CFI codes, ANNA helps facilitate open, transparent markets diminishing barriers to access, while protecting the integrity of the standards. As a result, ISIN has become the recognised global standard for unique identification for all types of financial and referential instruments, helping to connect and protect global markets.
In addition, ANNA has established the Derivatives Service Bureau (DSB), a fully automated global numbering agency to meet the specific operational and regulatory requirements of the over-the-counter derivatives markets.
