ANNA responds to EC consultation on OTC derivatives identifier for transparency purposes

Brussels, 9th January: ANNA and DSB have responded to the EC’s targeted consultation on selecting a unique product identifier for OTC derivatives transparency. ANNA and DSB highlighted their support for both the ISIN and UPI noting that the 2 standards are complementary, with the UPI dataset forming a subset of the ISIN dataset. ANNA and DSB stressed that ISINs provide higher data quality, reduce operational burdens and already serve as the established identifier under EU regulations.
