ANNA responds to HMRC consultation on cryptoasset reporting framework
Brussels, 28th May: ANNA has responded to HMRC’s consultation on the UK’s implementation of the OECD’s Cryptoasset Reporting Framework and Amendments to the Common Reporting Standard package
ANNA recommended that tokenised financial instruments continue to be identified using ISIN, complemented by DTI to capture their DLT implementations. Together with CFI, this framework ensures a holistic, standardised approach to cryptoasset identification.
It reaffirmed its cooperation with the Digital Token Identifier Foundation, including the introduction of ‘XT’ prefix ISINs for cryptoassets without country affiliation, ensuring interoperability and transparency in global reporting.
