ANNA responds to HMRC consultation on cryptoasset reporting framework

Brussels, 10th July: ANNA has welcomed the EC’s Draft Delegated Regulation as regards OTC derivatives identifying reference data to be used for the purposes of the transparency requirements laid down in Article 8a(2), and Articles 10 and 21 of that Regulation.

ANNA endorsed the proposal to modify the ISINnfor OTC derivatives by removing the expiry date, a change that improves usability, reduces reporting burdens and aligns with market convention.

ANNA also highlighted the continued alignment between ISIN and UPI, noting that the UPI dataset is a subset of ISIN reference data and included in OTC ISIN records. ANNA stressed that this ensures global consistency and supports the EU’s goal of harmonisation.
