Full membership of the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) reaches 115 as Torsten Ulrich and Laura Stanley are re-elected as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors

Ratified at ANNA’s General Meeting in Split, 19-20 June 2025
London, 23 June 2025 – The Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) the global association dedicated to the support of efficient capital markets through the use of widely embraced International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) standards, announced today that it has re-elected Torsten Ulrich, MD of WM Gruppe-WM Datenservice, and Laura Stanley, Director of Entity Data and Symbology at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), to its Board of Directors.
ANNA also confirmed the transition of the Derivatives Service Bureau (DSB) and E-Trading Software (ETS) from partner status to full membership. This enables full voting rights for the organisations and brings the total number of ANNA full members to 115. These appointments were confirmed at ANNA’s General Meeting in Split, Croatia, 19-20 June 2025.
Torsten Ulrich continues in the position of Chair of the ANNA Board of Directors, responsible for the oversight of all management body activities with a specific focus on the strategic direction of ANNA, activities related to ANNA subsidiaries, as well as International Organization for Standardization (ISO) matters. Torsten is a strong advocate of financial instrument identification, classification and reference data, and brings a wealth of experience and guidance to the management body and global ANNA membership.
Laura Stanley also continues as Vice Chair of the ANNA Board of Directors. In addition to this role, Laura is Chair of the ANNA Service Bureau (ASB) Supervisory Committee and is an active contributor to the ANNA digital assets working groups. As a UK expert in security identification and reference data, Laura is also a committee member of the British Standards Institution (BSI) and is dedicated to supporting cross industry initiatives that uphold and develop ISO principles.
On 18 June, preceding the General Meeting, an “ANNA Meets the Market” event was organised as an opportunity for market participants and ANNA Members to connect. This included a welcome from Dora Matosic – President of the Management Board of the Central Depository and Clearing Company Inc. of Croatia (SKDD), and speech from Ana Zorić – Directorate for Economic Affairs and Financial System, Ministry of Finance, Croatia, on “The Next Chapter for the Croatian Capital Markets Strategic Framework for Capital Market Development in the Republic of Croatia”. The General Meeting opened with an address from the Governor of the Croatian National Bank, Mr Boris Vujčića.
Torsten Ulrich, Chair of the ANNA Board of Directors, commented: “ANNA is steadfast in strengthening global standards through industry collaboration and innovation and I am truly honoured to continue serving its aims. Laura Stanley, Vice Chair of the ANNA Management Body, added: “I am delighted to be re-elected to the ANNA board at a time of accelerating change in regulatory reporting and data standards. I believe international codes and identifiers are vital for market transparency and security and, by working together, we can improve global standards, data quality, and market efficiency—all key pillars for the future.”
The DSB serves as the global source for reference data for OTC derivatives, providing OTC ISINs, Classification of Financial Instruments (CFI) codes, and Financial Instrument Short Names (FISN). ETS is the registration authority for ISO 24165, the Digital Token Identifier (DTI), and operates as the global numbering agency for crypto assets, issuing XT ISINs.
