NNAs of Egypt and Mexico Join ANNA’s Board

Brussels, Belgium – 24 June 2015 – At its annual Ordinary General Meeting of the membership held earlier this month, the Association of National Numbering Agencies elected two new members to open seats on its Board of Directors, which governs the activities of the Association. The newly elected national numbering agencies to be represented on the ANNA Board are the Misr for Central Clearing, Depository and Registry (MCDR) of Egypt and the Central Securities Depository (SD Indeval SA de CV) of Mexico. They will be represented by Dr. Tarek E. Abdel Bary, Deputy Chairman of MCDR, and Ms. Zazil Miranda González, Vice President International Business at Indeval.

“We are pleased that interest in being part of the governance process of ANNA continues to increase among our membership, and that the Board is now comprised of regional representation of Africa, the Middle East, the Americas, Asia and Europe. We welcome our new Board members,“ said Dan Kuhnel, Chairman of the ANNA Board and Director of Primary Market Relations and International Fixed Income at Euroclear Bank Hong Kong. “We are deeply grateful for the dedication of time and effort by the outgoing Board members who helped guide ANNA through an exciting period of evolution in the ISO standards environment and the launch of a major advancement in the ANNA Service Bureau offering of enhanced ISIN data files.“

Leaving the board are Dr. Martin Paladino, Settlements Manager of Caja de Valores SA of Argentina, who served on the Board for nine years and Mr. György Dudás, CEO of Keler of Hungary, who served on the Board for six years. In addition, the representatives of the London Stock Exchange of the UK and WM Datenservice of Germany will change. A special handover meeting of the Board members will be held in early July.

In addition to the Board elections, Takasbank of Turkey was re-elected to a three-year term on the Technical Committee of the ANNA Service Bureau and will continue to be represented by Ms. Zeynep Şahin, Manager of International Markets

Established in 1992 by 22 founding numbering agencies, ANNA is the membership organization of national numbering agencies, which are operated by depositories, exchanges, government agencies, nationally central data vendors and other financial infrastructure organizations.
