Board Member of the Management Body, Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA), Deputy Director, National Securities Market Commission (CNMV)
Cristina Ribó Sörensen is a Director of the ANNA Management Body, with oversight over
governance, risk, legal and compliance matters. Christina manages Spain’s NNA and she is also a board member for the Derivatives Service Bureau (DSB).
Cristina is a Deputy Director at the Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV), the Spanish supervisory authority for the securities market, in the Secondary Market Department where she is responsible for the CNMV’s reporting obligations and compliance under MIFIR (transaction reporting, instrument reference data and data reporting services providers). Christina also leads different teams focussed on suspicious transaction and order reports (STOR) under MAR and LEI implementation- the latter in collaboration with the Bank of Sapin as the ROC member. Christina’s key aims in these roles is to pursue data convergence, standardization and efficiency.
Prior to this, Christina served in the Primary Market Department dealing with issuances, public offerings and listings for over 15 years. She has also overseen the Credit Rating Agency area in the CNMV, as well as the compliance of reporting obligations under SFTR.
During her 30-year career, Christina has served as the CNMV representative for ESMA’s Data
Standing Committee – a role she has held for for more than 10 years, and since 2022, Christina has represented at the ESMA Supervisory Policy Committee supporting ESMA in policy, supervisory and infringement issues regarding CRAs, DRSPs and TRs, as well as the upcoming new CTPs and third- party providers in the green bond regulation.
