Stephan Dreyer joins the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) as Managing Director

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Stephan Dreyer has joined the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) as Managing Director. Prior to this, Stephan spent over 25 years working for Bloomberg LP in the US, London, and Frankfurt as a Senior Product Manager for Fixed Income Debt Capital Markets and Securitized Derivatives within the Data Management Division, where he spearheaded development of data products for market transparency and regulatory purposes.

ANNA is a global member association seeking to foster standardisation within the financial industry by upholding the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) principles via ongoing, collaborative work with market participants, regulators and other standards bodies. At the heart of ANNA are the member National Numbering Agencies (NNAs), responsible for ISIN, FISN and CFI assignment and maintenance. Once NNAs have assigned the identifiers and their associated data, ANNA works to consolidate the global data set via a centralised depository, the ANNA Service Bureau (ASB), to maintain data quality and build global interoperability.

“ANNA is uniquely placed to help organisations address their regulatory obligations as well as address new industry challenges as the market continues to evolve, so they can focus on developing core business strategies and continue to innovate,” said Dreyer. “With this in mind, in addition to focusing on the operational oversight and technological transformation of the ASB, I’m very much looking forward to examining how to identify digital assets and assess the role and scope of ISINS as standard in this space as part of the TF-22 Technology Taskforce on Digital Assets, and working in collaboration with market participants throughout this process.”
