The Association of National Numbering Agencies welcomes Ghana as full member Confirmed at ANNA’s Extraordinary General Meeting in Seoul, Korea, 30th November – 1st December
London, 13th December 2023 – The Association of National Numbering Agencies, ANNA, a global
association dedicated to the support of efficient capital markets through the use of widely embraced
International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) standards, announced at the Extraordinary General
Meeting (EGM), 30th November – 1st December, held in Seoul, Korea, that Ghana Stock Exchange has
become a full member of ANNA.
The host, Mr Tae-young Yang, President of KOSPI Market, Korea Exchange, gave a keynote speech,
followed by a discussion on Korea’s Sustainability Bond Market. A key focus of the EGM was providing
updates to ANNA members on the year’s activities, particularly for the membership in the APAC region.
Digital Assets featured prominently in discussions with the new XT-ISINs for crypto assets launched this
Autumn. Other topics on the agenda included the ANNA Service Bureau (ASB), the launch of the Unique
Product Identifier (UPI) by the Derivatives Service Bureau (DSB), and an update on the LEI-ISIN mapping
initiative.
Stephan Dreyer, Managing Director of ANNA, said, “I would like to extend a huge thank you to our host,
the Korea Exchange (KRX), for welcoming us for this EGM. We had extremely fruitful discussions on the
work ANNA has been undertaking over the past year, including the implementation of the ISO 6166
revisions, development work on the ASB, and the launch of new XT ISINs. We also looked forward to the
year ahead, where the UPI, digital assets and improvements to the ASB will continue to be key themes
and, of course, ongoing work to raise awareness and promote the adoption of standards. It was a great
opportunity to share knowledge and information, and we are delighted that it was confirmed at the
meeting that Ghana is now a full member of ANNA.”
